Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Where's Luke?. By using the app you agree to them. Keep them handy — they're short on purpose.

Draft. Have these terms reviewed by legal counsel before App Store submission — this is a reasonable starting draft, not final legal copy.

1. Acceptable use

Use Where’s Luke? for its intended purpose: finding friends and getting around the mountain. Don’t use it to harass, track or stalk other people, and don’t attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt or overload the service.

2. Safety on the mountain

Where’s Luke? is a navigation aid, not a safety system. Routes, piste information and friend locations are provided for convenience only. You are responsible for your own safety while skiing or snowboarding, including checking piste and weather conditions, following resort signage, staying within your ability, and using appropriate equipment.

Do not rely on the app in an emergency. In an emergency, call the resort’s piste rescue or the European emergency number 112.

3. Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your account and group codes secure. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.

4. Availability

We aim to keep the service running smoothly but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability. The app depends on GPS signal, mobile connectivity and third-party map data — any of which may be unavailable on parts of the mountain.

5. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used to harm other users.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Where’s Luke? and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including injury, loss, or damage sustained while skiing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
